Basic points

• Finn is a Djinn who was enslaved by a Dark Fae household through the use of a charmed tattoo:
  


• He was made to do chores for the Dark Fae who controlled him, everything from cleaning their toilets to threatening harm to their enemies (though he balked at the possibility of actually hurting anyone).


• Finn is relatively young for a Fae, only a few decades old.


• His masters kept him, when they didn't need him, in his elemental form, inside of a small bronze lamp:
  


• At some point he came across Poe, who, being a "free agent" of sorts, was considered an enemy of Finn's masters. They ordered Finn to capture Poe, but Finn exercised his limited free will and refused. In the end, Poe liberated Finn from his Dark Fae masters, breaking their hold over him by placing his own brand over the tattoo.


• Finn now technically belongs to Poe, but Poe has granted him autonomy, so Finn is free to come and go as he pleases. He's still exploring how to live with this newfound freedom.
